Jetpack Joyride

Jetpack Joyride brings halfbrick Studios classic endless runner right to your web browser. You take control of barry steakfries, a guy who breaks into a secret laboratory to steal top secret, experimental jetpacks away from a bunch of scientists. The 2 you strap on that machine, it is a non stop, high flying sprint to survive. The lab is filled to the brim with traps designed to kill you, and your only goal is to fly as far as you possibly can while gathering coins and making an absolute mess of the place.

How to Play

The gameplay relies entirely on your rhythm and timing. Barry sprints forward on his own, and turning on your jetpack automatically fires bullets downwards, which clears out the scientists scrambling on the floor. The tricky part is maintaining your altitude. You have to constantly toggle your thrusters to float perfectly between moving laser beams, electric zappers, and warning missiles that lock onto your position from off screen. One single clip from a laser and your run ends instantly.

The Controls

The game keeps things incredibly simple with a one button control scheme that works perfectly for quick reaction times:On PC / Desktop: Press and hold down the Left Mouse Button or the Spacebar to fire up your jetpack and ascend. Release the button or key to cut the engines and drop back down to the floor.

On Mobile Devices: Tap and hold your finger anywhere on the screen to fly upward, and lift your finger off the glass to descend.

Crazy Vehicles and Power-ups

While zooming through the test chambers, you will see rainbow-colored gear boxes floating around. Smashing into these boxes instantly spawns Barry inside a giant, overpowered vehicle that changes how the game plays. The best part? These vehicles act as a shield if you hit a hazard while driving one, the vehicle destroys itself but barry gets thrown out completely unharmed to keep running. Keep an eye out for:

• Lil Stomper: A mechanical mech suit that lets you jump high into the air and stomp back down onto targets.
• Profit Bird: A goofy mechanical bird that shoots money out of its tail and flies in short, tap controlled hops.
• Crazy Freaking Teleporter: A capsule that teleports to whatever location your crosshair is pointing at whenever you click.
• Mr. Cuddles: A giant, fire-breathing robotic dragon that operates on reverse controls, pushing you up when you let go.

Upgrades and Customization

The gold coins you vacuum up from the lab floors can be taken straight to the in game shop. You can spend your cash to buy a massive pile of ridiculous outfits, fresh jetpack variants (like a bubble blowing machine or a rainbow trail), and gadgets that tweak your passive stats. Leveling up these upgrades makes it way easier to finish the daily missions, push past your friends highest scores, and survive deep into the later, faster sections of the laboratory.
